Volunteer & Donate

Crosskeys receives funding from Medicaid and a number of other sources, but our programs could not operate without the generous support of donors and volunteers. Our needs are always greater than the funding we receive, and we are usually short $10,000 to $15,000 by the end of the year. We need your help to continue providing human services to seniors and Behavioral Health clients.

Donating Clothes

We accept as item donations that can be used to support our work. For example, we welcome donations of clothing, computers, kitchen utensils, vehicles, and other items. We also accept monetary donations, and if you donate more than $100, your name will be placed on the memorial plaque on the wall of our main location. Anyone who donates is added to our newsletter and Christmas card list. We are a tax-exempt organization, and we provide a letter with our tax exemption code to all donors.

Volunteer Opportunities

Crosskeys is always looking for volunteers. We need volunteers to deliver meals to the homes of our clients at assist at our centers in both the Behavioral Health and aging divisions. There is no minimum time commitment, and everyone is welcome to volunteer: all you need is a willing heart and a desire to serve those who are less fortunate. Note that some volunteer positions require a background check.

Internship Program

Gain real experience working in a community human services program. Crosskeys runs an internship program for students in the psychology and social work departments of California University of Pennsylvania. As you work with our staff, you will learn how to put your studies into practice. The internship is a reciprocal relationship, and the interns keep our staff members up-to-date on the latest theory in the field. If you are interested in becoming an intern, contact us for more information.
